Competition

Regional

Every year in March or April, Joyful Sound Quartet makes the trip to Houston, TX, to compete in the Sweet Adelines International regional contest. Dozens of choruses and quartets come together to sing and compete as part of the Great Gulf Coast Region.  Last year, we placed 8th out of 23 competing quartets.  This year we took a year off to complete our CD project, but were honored to be the mic-testing quartet for the Region 10 contest.

 

International

In the Fall of each year, the winners of all regional contests, and a few "wildcards", gather together at the International competition. On October 18-22, 2011 thousands of Sweet Adelines will decend on Houston, Texas where quartets and choruses from all over the world will compete.
